TWENTY-FOUR
Twenty-Four is a collection of poems that intricately explores the journey from girlhood to womanhood. The themes of family, memory, home, and gender are examined intimately and personally.
Many of the poems engage in thoughtful discourse on the experience of living in the diaspora, shedding light on how diasporic life shapes family dynamics and influences one’s identity. The diverse characters referenced by Oforiwa vividly illustrate the complex interplay between their new world and the homes they have left behind.

Twenty-Four is thoughtfully organised into five parts: Leaving Home, Lost in Transition, Love, Betrayal, and Honour.
